George Hamilton, 2022

This is a story about George Hamilton who was a prisoner at Idaho State Penitentiary. He designed and built the Dining Hall building at the penitentiary in exchange for his freedom. This film was done as a part of “13 stories/2022” at the Idaho Penitentiary.

Creation of a Nation, 2017

This movie is a commentary on the abstract idea of a nation. Creation of Nation is explored through four parts; migration, rituals, leaders and their speeches, and eventual destruction.

Balkanization Series, 2015

I explored the idea of fragmenting various vases and sculptures and assembling them again as a whole. I was thinking about the idea of history, trying to assemble a whole out of fragments.

Views from Underground Series, 2014

In this series I imagined what is underground. Laying claim on land is what I reflected upon as I was drawing these large scale drawings.

Hegelian Construct Series, Mixed Media, 2013

This series revolved around building pyramidal structures which feel unstable. They stand as a metaphor to Yugoslavia and the seeking of the ultimate geist or spirit.

Leaders, 2013

In this series I used silhouettes of various world leaders such as Che Guevara, Tito, Mao…On top of their silhouettes I have transferred images of other leaders that might be on opposite sides or reflect different values.

Ruins, 2009

This series are digital photographs of ruins created out of clay. The prints were manipulated through various processes such as coffee washes.

This series of drawings was drawn on top of various different religious books.

Revealing Series, 2008

In this series of mixed media work I used toys that idealize war. I have burned them with the intent of revealing the violence that they idealize.  I have created sculptural objects and frames for dark landscape paintings.
